Seamus Jiang is the 2022-2023 President of BioKatalyst. He lives in Philadelphia suburbs with wife (also in the pharma industry) and two kids (10 & 6).
Seamus has been an active contributor to BioKatalyst in the last 3 years including organizing biotech-focused events benefiting members and member startups and connecting them with mainstream players. In particular, he was one of the key organizers for various COVID-19 relief/donation activities last year. Seamus has extensive relationship with the biotech investing communities including various US/China mainstream PE/VCs and pharmaceutical companies. He has deep relationship with industry organizations such as SAPA, CBA, CABS and BayHelix and is a regular speaker at various cross-border business and life sciences conferences.
Seamus is a Managing Director of PwC US with over 20 years of M&A and finance experience in North America and Asia. He has been assisting strategic and financial buyers/sellers in evaluating over 300 M&A and investment transactions with an aggregate deal value of over $190 billion, including many projects in Pharma, Life Sciences and Healthcare sectors. He leads PwC US’ US/Asia Cross-border Deals practice with over 80 Asia/US cross-border M&A and investment projects and is a leader of PwC US’s China Business Network. Previously, Seamus worked at GE Capital and PwC China.
Seamus earned a B.A. in Economics from Fudan and an MBA from Emory University. He is a CFA charterholder and holds CPA licenses in both U.S. and China. Seamus holds leadership roles at diversity and inclusion organizations including Ascend, ACG and PwC’s Pan Asian Community Inclusion Network.
